After an eventful day of sitting and waiting, we gathered in the lobby of Scholarship Hall due to the three very aggressive rain drops that assaulted our group on the front lawn. Competition was fierce as the bravest amongst us fought for Cheetos and water by answering the questions of Dr. Gina Chen. As the excitement died down, she asked for a volunteer to do the first blog post and boldly going where no student has gone before. I raised my hand and ultimately roped my roommate and I into filling the shoes of Dr. Frankenstein as we piece together what is now the first blog post of the USM High School Journalism Workshop 2014.
In the week to come, there will be other blog posts written by the sixteen students present. We, Emalie Cormier and Christian "Little Fish" Miller, are honored to be the co-authors of this post. These posts will inform you, the visitors of this blog, of the events and experiences we will enjoy here. Thank you!
