Last night, we all participated in game night. Like any teenager, I groaned and moaned about the thought of being associated with something so childish. However, I was not prepared for the absolute insanity of playing a game with fifteen other people; the game we played was Taboo. We were split into teams of two; I was a member of the "B" team. The atmosphere can be compared to a sports-bar filled with middle-aged men on Super Bowl Sunday during the fourth quarter. The rivalry can be compared to the Hatfield-McCoy feud.
In my personal opinion, the "B" team was more passionate about the game than the other team. We were all shouting, and my inner New Yorker/Italian sprouted up, and I became a little too loud. At one point, Jonathan-the "B" teams advisor, brought in a bowl of candy during the other teams turn, and chaos erupted. In the end, our passion was all for naught because the "A" team won 122-119. We put up a good fight and were proud of our efforts.
Afterwards, a few of us walked back to Scholarship Hall with our cameras and I posed some of them into the Beatles iconic street picture and got some great shots. I definitely look forward to the rest of this workshop and all of the fun activities to come.
